THE CLARKES CAMP OUT 2008

1 SAMUEL 7:12DATE OF EVENT: AUGUST 1-3, 2008It’s 2008 ! It’s almost August! The time is nearing to spend a weekend together, with our families, camping out, having fun, playing games, building bonfires, eating lots of great food, lots of ice cream, chasing kids, meeting new cousins, and catching up on the past year! The Clarkes will be camping out, once again, down on the farm! We can’t wait to see you all there!
We have some fun new activities planned this year and we are keeping around some of the oldies but goodies: hay rides, ice cream, face painting, skeet shoots, crafts & games, campfires & worship music….and more!
A huge “Thank You” to everyone that signed up to help with activities and supplies this year! You have all been emailed with a reminder of what you signed up for, if you have any questions, or did not receive your email, please see the contact information at the bottom of the newsletter, and let me know ASAP, I will get the information out to you promptly! If you missed your chance to sign up last year….NO worries, check out our sign-up sheet this year! We are always looking for help, and new volunteers!
This year, you will find a new table in the garage: This will be the “Information Table”. Here you will find a safe place for your photo albums to share as well as the , Help Wanted lists*, a new “Sign- In*” list and our new Family Journal*
***Help Wanted lists: if you are looking to volunteer to help out next year…from bringing food, supplies, or helping out with an activity, this is where you can sign up and let us know you want to get involved!
***Sign –In : We would like to keep a record of the yearly attendees! This will be a place we would like everyone to stop by and sign your name! It only takes a second to do, and will be so helpful to us! Thanks in advance for participating!
***Family Journal: Another new addition that we are excited about this year! You will find a new Family Journal (located at the Information table) for ALL to use! We would love to hear your stories, memories and bits of fun from your experiences at the family reunion, or old memories that you have with our family! This journal is for everyone to use, the more the better! Please make sure you sign your name after your entry!

We have set up a new blog (online journal ) for everyone to use!
Down on the Clarke Farm . Anyone can view this website.
Here you will find current family information, and updates, check back often to see what’s going on!
We have also set up a private photo album on Flickr.
(HERE) Flickr is an online photo sharing program, here you can post comments, share photos and chat with the whole family. We chose to make this a private account, so you will need to be “invited” to join this group. Please email hhalleck@gmail.com , and I would be more than happy to send you and invitation so you can
start posting and sharing with everyone in the family!
Just a note: after our Saturday dinner (around 4:00p.m.) and before our hay ride, we will again be taking our family photo…we would also like to take some individual family photos this year (location: in front of the big red barn )! This may take a little time, and some participation from all, but it will be a fun addition to our family albums! Please make sure you are all here at this time so no one is missing from our pictures!
