DATE OF EVENT: AUGUST 7-9, 2008

It’s 2009 ! It’s almost August! The time is nearing to spend a weekend together, with our families, camping out, having fun, playing games, building bonfires, eating lots of great food, lots of ice cream, chasing kids, meeting new cousins, and catching up on the past year! The Clarke’s will be camping out, once again, down on the farm! We can’t wait to see you all there!
We have some fun activities planned this year: hay rides, ice cream, skeet shoots, crafts & games, campfires, worship music….and more!
A huge “Thank You” to everyone that signed up to help with activities and supplies this year! There are so many big things and little things that need to be done to make our weekend run smoothly, your help is GREATLY appreciated! If you missed your chance to sign up to help last year….NO worries, check out our sign-up sheet this year! We are always looking for help, and new volunteers!
Once again, you will find a designated table in the garage: This will be the “Information Table”. Here you will find a safe place for your photo albums to share as well as the “You Are Needed” list*, a “Sign- In” list*, “Suggestion” list* and our Family Journal*
***You Are Needed: if you are looking to volunteer to help out next year…from bringing food, supplies, or helping out with an activity, this is where you can sign up and let us know you want to get involved!
***Sign –In : We would like to keep a record of the yearly attendees! This will be a place we would like everyone to stop by and sign your name! It only takes a second to do, and will be so helpful to us! Thanks in advance for participating!
***Suggestion List: a place for your “suggestions”. If you have any ideas for next year…things you’d like to see done differently, or something you’d like to see added to our weekend, please mention it here. We would also like you to put your name on this list with your suggestion so we know who to contact about the activities if help is needed!
***Family Journal: You will find our Family Journal (located at the Information table) for ALL to use! We would love to hear your stories, memories and bits of fun from your experiences at the family reunion, or old memories that you have with our family! This journal is for everyone to use, the more the better! Please make sure you sign your name after your entry! We are looking forward to some more entries in 2009!
What else you should know:
We have set up a blog (online journal ) for everyone to use! HERE . Anyone can view this website. Here you will find current family information, and updates, check back often to see what’s going on!
We have also set up a private photo album on Flickr. HERE Flickr is an online photo sharing program, here you can post comments, share photos and chat with the whole family. We chose to make this a private account, so you will need to be “invited” to join this group. Please email hhalleck@gmail.com , and I would be more than happy to send you an invitation so you can start posting and sharing with everyone in the family!
Included you will find a 2009 sign up list. Please use this list as a reminder of what you signed up for last year to bring this year! Thanks again for all your help
Just a note: after our Saturday dinner (around 4:00p.m.) and before our hay ride, we will again be taking our family photo…(location: in front of the big red barn )! This may take a little time, and some participation from all, but it will be a fun addition to our family albums! Please make sure you are all here at this time so no one is missing from our pictures!
